It’s tarpon season! We are in full swing, the fish have moved in by the thousands and action has been red hot. We are also having our first big hill tide this weekend, causing thousands of small crabs to flush out on the outgoing tide, driving tarpon nuts. It is definitely a sight to see. There have also been large numbers of tarpon out on the beaches and up in the harbor, making countless opportunities to catch these amazing fish.
Don’t forget, we are still running plenty of inshore fishing trips which has been nothing but spectacular. We have been catching many snook in the 10+ pound range, some pushing 20 pounds. Redfish, trout, cobia, Spanish mackerel, and plenty more have also been around. No matter what you’re looking to fish for, this is the time of year to do so. There are still plenty of dates left so please do not hesitate to give me a call!
